Description

Surgical Silk Tape (also referred to as Silk Plaster) is a medical adhesive tape composed of natural silk fabric and a medical-grade, hypoallergenic adhesive. It combines the inherent softness and tensile strength of silk with excellent breathability and skin-friendliness. The tape offers reliable adhesion without excessive rigidity, making it gentle on the skin while maintaining secure fixation. Due to its hypoallergenic nature, good toughness, and comfort, it is widely used as a common emergency and clinical material—particularly for securing wound dressings, endotracheal tubes, intravenous (IV) lines, urinary catheters, and other lightweight medical devices, especially in patients with sensitive or delicate skin.
