A tie-on surgical mask is a disposable medical face mask secured behind the head with upper and lower cloth ties, ensuring a snug, adjustable fit that minimizes air gaps and accommodates different face shapes or additional PPE like goggles.

Constructed with multiple layers—typically a fluid-resistant spunbond outer layer, a meltblown filtration middle layer, and a soft absorbent inner layer—it effectively blocks respiratory droplets, splashes, and airborne particles, protecting both wearer and patients.

Commonly used in operating rooms, isolation wards, and high-risk settings, its tie-on design offers greater stability during prolonged use, eliminates ear pressure, and meets ASTM Level 1–3 infection control standards. It is discarded as medical waste after use to prevent cross-contamination.
